ACNM COMMENDATION
In March of 2004, Womancare was awarded a prestigious golden commendation titled With Woman, for a Lifetime from the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
The Womancare mission is to provide quality health care for woman across their lifespan, respecting individual needs in a supportive and educational environment; and to maintain a stable presence in the community, offering a variety of health options, in order to enhance the well-being of women.
They value the midwifery model and incorporate it into daily practice. Midwives at Womancare strive to be “with women” from menarche and first Paps, to menopause and beyond. One of their guiding values, exemplifying the heart of midwifery, is their belief that their work is all about the women served…not about the midwives--it’s about the women!
